Thomas, Boston, Saturday Night Live, Glen Miller, Journey, Doo Wop, Hank Williams, Stevie Ray Vaughn, (and more recently Third Day, Veggie Tales, Wes King and Petra); throw in some Marshall amplifiers, drums, and a whole bunch of other instruments; put God right smack dab in the center, and you've got Heaven Sown!  Art Sarkkinen, Willy Scott, Dan Drouillard and Dave Drouillard, make up the heart of one of the fastest growing ministries in southeast Michigan.  These guys like to rock, but they love the Rock (no, not that goofy wrestler), and believe no musical style is untouchable when it comes to communicating God’s word!  There are times to get quiet with God, and then there are times to hang out with Heaven Sown!!

High Praise Band

Things come together in many different ways, but this group was born out of the desire to serve God and His people.  After Jeff completed his CD Highest Praise, he wanted to put together a band for the CD release concert.  There were several gifted and anointed musicians, but something just seemed to click between Jeff, Justin, Fred and Stan. From that point on they would work together to minister in Churches, Coffee Shops and even a local adult rehabilitation center.  After a few years of working together they decided to form the High Praise Band.  With a strong desire to bring anointed Praise and Worship music to encourage and strengthen God’s people, this journey continues.  They are currently ministering in churches, coffee shops and wherever the Lord may lead them.

RHONDA HANSON

Rhonda Hanson is a bit of a recluse whose music is autobiographical and comes from a long friendship with "Father".  From an earlier album, "Healing Of The Heart" a video of the single "If I Could Die" was produced by Matt Crouch and regularly aired on TBN's "Real Videos".  Rhonda has traveled over the country, spending many years in street ministry, singing and speaking at women's conferences and in concert. One of her most memorable and personally rewarding times of ministry came with an invitation to Keith and Melody Green's "Last Days Ministries", where she led worship, gave concerts and lectured on songwriting.  In her project "Words And Music", Rhonda was joined by friends and pioneers of Christian music such as Kelly Willard and Harlan Rogers.  A compilation of remixed titles from the earlier project "Healing Of The Heart" and some new songs are now available in Rhonda's recently released CD, "The Friend Of God".  Rhonda hides out in the Tennessee woods, skillfully avoiding Nashville.  In addition to songwriting, she is the author of the novel, "Father's Choice" and is presently at work on the third book in the "Father" series.

PAUL McKENZIE

Paul McKenzie is a self taught professional guitarist, composer and songwriter with 14 cds available.  He has been playing and writing songs since he was 16 years old.  He has written over 1000 songs and put 17 books of the Bible to music - which he hopes to have all recorded on CD one day.  He has also written a Cantata called “Glimpse of Heaven”, which was performed by the First Presbyterian Church of Trenton’s choir and orchestra in May of 2008.  The music was arranged by Jeff French and Paul is packaging it for publication and performances around our area.  He also plays multiple other instruments such as recorders, banjo, kinnor, and is now working on the violin.  He is available for guitar, bass, recorder, vocal and banjo lessons.  And as memorization of the Bible is such a priority to him, he offers seminars on that as well and is promoting the Living New Testament.  He also likes to perform, in full costume, word for word, books of the Bible either in word or song.  Also, being very pro-life, he is available to perform at those functions as well.  Paul’s greatest passion is talking about our hope of Heaven.  Currently, he is the Contemporary Arts Director for First Presbyterian Church of Trenton.

The Curry Singers have been singing the praises of the Lord Jesus since the 1980's at St. Francis Xavier Catholic church, Ecorse, and Our Lady of the Woods Catholic church, Woodhaven. Rosa and Ron’s group was invited to sing at the first FaithFest in 1997.  Also known as The Muniz family, the members are: Rosa and Ron Curry, Albert & Mary Lou Muniz, J.R. Muniz, Maria Cervantes, Irma Dorey, Rosalinda Salliotte, and Jay Franzen. We are now including a member of the second generation, percussionist Alex Martinez.  We thank our late parents, Aniceto and Soledad Muniz, for their encouragement in using our talents for the Lord God.  Our style is a blend of contemporary music and traditional hymns, embellished by a five part harmony and accompanied by three guitars. Our Hispanic roots have enabled us to witness to our Spanish speaking brothers and sisters in the Lord Jesus.
