Children's Tent

Supervise some
of the activities there. Skills include a love and concern for children,
good "negotiation" skills, and an understanding that we share the Gospel with
the kids by welcoming them warmly as Christ welcomed them. The activities
include crafts, games, face painting/tatoos, and special performances by
"kid-oriented" Christian entertainers. (The crafts are really
easy and don't require you to have any artistic skill!)
Hospitality Tent
Welcome folks
to FaithFest and answer questions. There will be a resource book available
with frequently asked questions and their answers, as well as quick access
to folks who can answer questions for which you don't have an answer!
Food Tent
Pass out hot
dogs, chips, pop, cookies, etc. to the crowd. We use a ticket system so you
won't have to handle money. Skills include a willingness to serve, ability
to work on your feet, and a smile on your face!
Cleanliness Crew
Empty trash
containers; pick up random trash (the beauty of Christian
crowds is there isn't much trash to pick up from the grounds); refill soap dispensers,
paper towels, etc.; and generally keep the grounds and building looking neat.
Other Options
Work on the Parking Crew, directing traffic and
passing out programs. A good, logical mind is a great benefit for this work
team. OR work in the Volunteer Coordination Tent to-you guessed it-make sure
volunteers know where to be, what to do, and when to do it!
Have a skill not mentioned? Don't give up! Let us know what your talents
are, and we'll probably find a spot for you! There are jobs both outside
and inside. (By the way, there are a lot of jobs that don't require a great
deal of mobility, so if you are physically challenged, we'd still love to
have you. Facilities are all accessible, but if you have special needs,
just let us know .)
P.S. For teens looking for service hours, we are happy to give you a volunteer
form certifying your involvement. Just pick one up from the Volunteer Coordination
Tent.
